2024 NBA All Star Week Artwork

Twenty-four (24) super-sized basketballs all painted by local artists were on display  around downtown Indianapolis during NBA All Star Week.  Each basketball highlights a chapter of Indiana basketball history.

Kevin James Wilson, a Crispus Attucks alumnus was one of the 24 artists selected to create a basketball. Fortunately, Kevin got  Crispus Attucks High School as the subject for his basketball.

The green and gold paint strokes Kevin  applied to the basketball sculpture honoring Crispus Attucks’ state championship are rooted in his study of art there.

The 24 Hoosier Historia balls will all find permanent homes across Indiana after All-Star Weekend ends. Hopefully Crispus Attucks High School will be the permanent home of Kevin’s ball.
